The VAFM provides an important community resource for patrons to find local foods, crafts, art and other goods. It is also a place for local growers, producers and artisans to sell their wares. The VAFM prides itself on its educational offerings for people of all ages. But, most of all, we are a source of community.

The VAFM is a gathering place for people to meet around the things that make this region great. Look around any Vermillion farmers market and you see a definition of SE South Dakota - the food, the flavors, the art, the craft, the people.

OUR FRUIT IS RIPE

We are a producer-only market, so our goods are made, grown, raised or produced by the people who are selling them. In special situations, the vendors sell for friends and relatives they know directly and can track their goods back one step, with board approval. You can trust that you are buying locally-sourced goods - truly American grown and made - the best of our region. These are the foods and goods that represent who we are.
